When your Electrolux washing machine washes your clothes, it does so by filling with a very precise amount of water for the size load it is washing. However, when you find that your washer is no longer filling with water or that it is actually overfilling with water, a faulty pressure switch could be to blame. However, unlike many other washer repairs, replacing a pressure switch is actually fair simple.
Before you begin, you will need:
- Unplug your washer
- You may need to pull the washer out to reach the back, as such, you may need to disconnect the water.
- Phillips screwdriver
- Replacement pressure switch for your specific model of Electrolux washer
Use your screwdriver to remove the screws in the back of the washer that holds on the top lid. Once the screws are removed, the lid will slide back in order to be removed.
The pressure switch is a black box attached to the back of your washer. Rotating it will unhook it from the washer. You will then need to disconnect the wire connector. Releasing the spring clamp will then allow you to remove the pressure hose and disconnect the pressure switch completely
