The most useful part of the visit was that the service rep checked the computer board to make sure there were no error messages. He also had a probe thermometer that was probably better than our spring-loaded one. Still, he did not know how to access the calibration setting on our model - I had to show him - and, once there, tried to reset it but did not press the "Start" button in order to actually change the setting. So he thought he was running the tests at 0 degrees but actually ran them at +30 degrees. Also, talked way too much about things that were not germane to the service call. The call did not have to last 1.5 hours. All in all, we are still not convinced that the oven is actually at the designated temperature when the oven says it is preheated to that temperature.

After 4 visits to figure out why the broiler in my oven didn’t work, Dave finally found the cause. Hopefully this will be the end of my problems.
